Our organic GOOD LIFE CBD Treats contain 1 mg CBD in a 1/16th oz. heart-shaped treat. An 8-ounce box holds 128 treats.
Given regularly as part of each dog’s daily health protocols, CBD helps to maintain wellness, relieves discomfort and pain, and has a calming effect. It is also helpful to offer an additional treat before and after exercise or at any time when a dog may be particularly stressed or anxious.
DOSING
Dosing is an important consideration and highly individualized. The optimal maintenance dose for each dog varies depending on condition, age, weight, and breed. CBD is safe and natural, but there’s no value to be found in taking more than is needed.
Generally, 1 mg per 10 pounds is considered a therapeutic dose, given twice a day, half in the morning and half in the evening.
The best approach is to start with a low dose and work up to the optimal dose based on observations of how the dog is doing and feeling.
We recommend starting doses as follows, increasing as needed for optimal benefit:
Tiny dogs, 1 mg per day.
Small to Medium dogs, 2 mg per day.
Large dogs, 3 mg per day.
Largest dogs, 4 mg per day.
